Custom systemfor business management
- IT company
- Angular, C# .NET
- BAS integration
Automating operational control, reporting and resource management.

— Overview
A single system for business management
The goal of the project was a single closed business management system, bringing together operational processes, employees, tasks, working time, communication, analytics and financial data in one digital environment. The team designed and built a custom solution tailored to the company’s internal processes: from time tracking and workload control to automated reporting, KPI dashboards and integration with BAS.
As a result, management gained a single source of up-to-date management data, and employees — a shared working environment for day-to-day operational processes.
— Objectives
What had to be solved
01
Create a single space for managing internal processes. Tasks lived in one tool, communication — in another, working time was tracked separately, and financial information existed in the accounting system.
02
Make employee workload measurable: how much time a specialist spends on specific tasks and projects, how loaded individual people and teams are, and where overload or, conversely, spare capacity arises.
03
Automate KPIs and management reporting. Collecting metrics by hand takes time and means that management information arrives with a delay.
04
Keep work communication in a business context. Discussion in third-party messengers splits the information apart: the task is in the corporate system, while the reasoning and its history stay outside it.
05
Link operational activity with financial accounting. The count of completed tasks and hours spent is not enough — the team’s actual work has to connect to financial metrics and BAS accounting data.
— Solution
How the system works
Data, time and analytics
- A single operational data model: employees, tasks, projects, working time, performance metrics and finances are linked to each other
- Information that arises in day-to-day work immediately becomes the basis for analytics and reporting and needs no repeated manual collection
- Time Tracking detailed down to specific tasks and projects — not a standalone time counter, but a data source for resource management
- Assessment of the real workload of employees and teams, with available capacity factored into planning
- Dashboards, dynamic charts and graphs: individual and team KPIs, changes in metrics and reporting for a selected period
- Up-to-date analytics come straight from the data the system collects during work, instead of separate reports prepared by hand
Communication, integration, architecture
- An internal messenger that ties communication to specific tasks, projects and other work entities
- Along with the result of the work, its context is kept: discussions, clarifications and the decision history
- A two-way integration with BAS that unites the operational and the financial layers
- Data on work performed and time spent is used together with accounting information and links production metrics to billing and project economics
- Frontend in Angular, backend and business logic in C# .NET
- A corporate web application with an interactive interface, centralized business-logic processing and integration with external systems
— Results
What was implemented
- Task & Project Tracking — centralized work with tasks and projects: the work being done is linked to employees and the resources spent.
- Time Tracking & Capacity Control — working-time tracking broken down by task and project, and analysis of the team’s real workload.
- KPI Management — individual and team metrics for an objective assessment of employee and department performance.
- Interactive Dashboards — a clear presentation of key metrics through dynamic charts and graphs.
- Automated Reporting — management reporting is generated automatically from data already accumulated, with analysis for a selected period.
- Internal Communication — a corporate messenger that keeps communication in the context of tasks, projects and other work entities.
- BAS Integration — operational data linked to the financial and accounting system to synchronize the production and management layers.
— Highlights
What was unusual
Processes, not just code
Building a system like this required work not only on the software implementation, but on the company’s processes themselves.
Built on scenarios
What data arises during work, who interacts with it, what metrics managers need and how information moves into analytics and financial accounting.
One system, not a set of modules
Time Tracking, tasks, KPIs, communication, reporting and BAS integration were designed as parts of one management system.
Product logic, not just a spec
The team translated the company’s existing processes into coherent digital scenarios and linked them to each other.
The model ports to other sectors
The architecture is built around universal entities, so the approach adapts to retail, manufacturing, logistics and service businesses.
— Outcome
The client received a unified digital business management system that brings together day-to-day operational activity, employee oversight, tasks, working time, KPIs, communication, reporting and accounting data.
Management works with up-to-date business metrics without constantly gathering information by hand from several independent sources: the operational data employees create in their day-to-day work becomes, at the same time, the basis for workload control, performance assessment and management analytics.
— Area of responsibility
What the team did
01
Product & Business Analysis
Analysis of management processes, identifying key entities and relationships, translating business processes into functional requirements, logic for tracking employees, tasks and projects, structure of reporting and KPIs.
02
UX/UI & Frontend
Workflows for employees and managers, interfaces for day-to-day work, interactive dashboards, visualization of KPIs and operational metrics, development in Angular.
03
Backend & Business Logic
Development in C# .NET, implementing business logic, processing and aggregating operational data, preparing data for reporting and analytics, integrating functional modules.
04
Integration
Integration with BAS, synchronizing operational and financial accounting data, a link between the work actually performed and management accounting.
